  • By far the most disappointing class in the history of pole classes I've ever taken. I signed up for Level 1 pole class with Jamilla. Worth nothing I'm from out-of-town, so I was greatly looking forward to taking this class. 1. Prior to signing up, I called the studio to ask what level would be most appropriate to sign up for since the site wasn't helpful in mentioning prerequisites. They mentioned class sizes were small and it didn't really matter since the instructor would be able to tailor it more around my skill level. 2. I signed up for level 1 with Jamilla greatly looking forward to taking her class. Up until the day of the class, I was supposed to have her as an instructor. But she's was out of the country. There was no email for a sub for her class. I would've appreciated that since having her as an instructor was the reason I signed up. Additionally, the front desk made no mention of the instructor change. 3. **This class was entirely out of my league!** I'd say I'm an intermediate. I can do inverts but not full flows involving trick after trick after trick. After the warmup the instructor asked how long I took pole for and if I could do a jade. I said yes to the jade since I can do it even though it's far from perfect. I did not expect the three sequences we learned to be much more on the advanced side. The other students were much more skilled than I, around Fonji level. No modifications were offered and I couldn't do any whole sequences. So I just picked at small things I could do on my own and worked on them. The instructor did try to spot me when I asked, and spotted me on the last thing I tried to do in class. If I come back to Vegas I'm not coming back to this studio. Maybe other folks won't have my experience. Good luck to you. Also two stars because at least this studio was incredibly well kept which was appreciated.
