  • Another new food truck in Charlotte. I had the opportunity to try Gourmet Goombahs while drinking beer at Triple C (yeah, go figure!). I checked out their menu and it looked interesting with a lot of different Italian options and also salads, quesadillas, pizzas and more. Quite an extensive menu for a food truck. I couldn't really decide but one of the staff came in the brewery with order pad and credit card machine making it easier for everyone. So I ordered a customized cheesesteak without the mushrooms but added marinara sauce to it. It was a decent sandwich. Good texture on the meat but the cheese was just melted on top...it wasn't mixed in with the meat - which is was makes a good cheeseteak to me. Still, I am giving them 4 stars because they came into the brewery to take orders and they said it would be easy to customize my order. Thanks for being flexible. Next time I will try a salad. It's nice to see food trucks with healthy options! Note: Their website does not appear to be up yet, but they are on twitter @GGoombahs.
