  • Phoenix has lots of great pizza. I'm a big fan of Bianco and Cibo and Humble Pie and Grimaldi's. Pino's is not upscale like those places, no exotic, exquisite toppings. But the pizza is really good, really satisfying. And as far as I know, this is the best place to get a calzone in town. I've had the one at Cibo. Pino's is much better, among the best I've ever had. They put a little bit of sauce inside the pocket and there's a side of sauce for dipping. Everything about the calzone is balanced and absolutely satisfying. Salads are also very good here. I've never eaten in, I just get takeout. I see another reviewer here shares my one biggest wish: that we could get Pino's on Sundays. Please, Pino's. That's the best day to stay in and have a calzone in front of the TV. Please open on Sundays. Take Mondays off instead. Please!
