I used ToFixIt to find this company, but unfortunately did not have a great experience. While their service was certainly quick and did the job (and hence my two stars instead of one), it was completely overpriced. It took the service person all of four minutes to replace the part in question, and the total fee of the call was $400. I assumed that the part itself was pricey. But, later that day I did a quick online search and saw that you could purchase this same part for less than $100. That means that I was charged over $300 for a one-hour job (i.e., four minutes of actual work, and let's be generous and say 56 minutes of travel time).
The company was nice enough to call with a follow-up "customer service satisfaction" phonecall later that day. But when I expressed my concern about the high fees, that's where the customer service ended. I was told that I was being charged for both parts AND service. Well of course! I don't expect them to do their work for free. But let's be reasonable here. I'm also surprised that after my negative feedback to them during their call, I did not receive any further follow-up (even though the person I had talked to told me she would pass along the message to management). It would have been courteous to receive another call back. But nope. Instead I got a fridge magnet in the mail. No thanks - it's in the garbage.
Well, lesson learned. I won't be using their service again.
