  • Make A Difference is a great organization for those who would like to volunteer, but aren't sure where to go or what to do. The organization has numerous volunteer opportunities throughout the Valley, and vary depending on your skills and interests. Their website is a great resource for all kinds of projects, special events and even courses you can take. They even have streamlined the process to become a volunteer. You can go to one of their scheduled volunteer orientation sessions or you can do one online. Once you've complete it, you are all set to volunteer. I recently participated in their annual Serve-a-thon for Schools, and I was really impressed. There were numerous projects at schools around Phoenix, and it all seemed to be well-organized and a great success. All of the volunteers were ready to work, and everyone shared a common goal of giving back to our community. I'll definitely be participating in more events like these as well as some of their other volunteer opportunities. If you want to make a difference in your community and in your life, definitely give Make A Difference a try.
