Arrived: 8:09pm
Reservation: 8:30pm
Seated: 8:58pm
Server: Anna
Well, we made a reservation for 7 people for 8:30pm. We were celebrating a birthday. Arrived at 8:09pm and were told that our reservation was at 7;30pm and we had been marked as no shows. Luckily my husband who made the reservation, records all his calls so he played the recording for the host and they realized they had made a mistake. My husband approached the manager (actually the DM, Theron) at 8:36pm and was told we'd be seated in 2 minutes. He was very unapologetic and seemed to not care at all that there were 9 people including a wheelchair taking up all the space in the entryway as the inside waiting area was full. As we were waiting, another couple who had arrived prior to us were sitting, also waiting in the tiny now claustrophobic entry, but they got up and walked out. Now mind you there was an entire section of the restaurant that was unoccupied but I guess it's possible they could've had a good reason for that. Like not enough servers maybe.
Sean, the host was very friendly and kept coming over to let us know that no tables were available yet. He also mentioned that they have a 20 minute policy, meaning that they have 20 minutes post reservation time to seat guests. We were finally seated at 8:58pm. 28 minutes past our reservation time.
Our waitress was Anna and she was friendly, spunky, funny and fast. Definitely put us in a much better mood. Our food arrives pretty quick. We were all served by 9:30pm.
I had been here once before and had the chicken and waffles but was not impressed by the flavor so I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict this time and it was quite tasty. I really enjoyed it and only was able to finish 1/4 of it. The portion was HUGE! Baby girl had the vanilla waffle. She too only finished less than 1/4 of it but said she didn't really like it. Hubs got the portabella burger. The bun was way bigger than the mushroom so he felt like it was mostly bread. He was not impressed with that dish. My son is vegan and there wasn't anything on or off the menu for him other than a side of fruit per the server so he did not order anything but I kinda expected that so I wasn't swayed. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals though they didn't comment one way or the other. My FIL didn't finish his chicken and waffles which is so weird because he always finishes his meals and everyone else's lol. But I think it's because of the huge portions!
Our server did apologize for the long wait to be seated when she brought the check and pointed out that she didn't charge us for the drinks. (2 hot teas, 1 Pepsi & 1 iced tea.)
I'm giving them 2 stars. 1 for the friendliness of the host and server (Sean and Anna) and 1 for my meal.
