  • This is a restaurant where I really wish I could give a half star--it's a 4.5 star burger place. Located right near the fountain at Stonecrest, Smashburger is in a great location. On Fridays and Saturdays from 7-10, you're treated to live music outside (only in the summer). Decor inside is very modern and minimalistic, but it has a nice vibe to it that says 21st century. The food is really good--the burgers are delicious and the toppings are even better. I get the Carolina Burger, which is a patty with cole slaw, barbecue sauce, and pimento cheese. Delicious burger. The fries (I think I just ordered "fries" instead of "Smashfries" were okay, kind of like the one's you'd find at McDonalds. Eh, kind of a disappointment. My dad got a grilled chicken sandwich, and reported the grilled chicken was very good as well. You can usually get a coupon for this place if you like them on Facebook or join their email list. Overall, smashburger delivers a smashing burger with lacking fries. Next time I try the Smashfries, I'll update the review. EDIT: Took Carolina Burger off the menu. -1 star.
