| - 03/23/2017 - Placed order of a set of balancers & I specified that Sunburst Shutter would come to remove the shutters & put it back when the new balancers were installed, thus time is of ascent here.
05/02/2017 - Called to Davis Glass & Mirror, spoke with Chris who said that she would definitely notify the installer.
05/04/2017 - Appointment time was set at 8:30AM - 9AM on Installation day. Shutter guy show up at 8:30AM and removed the shutter but the technician from Davis Glass did not show up until 9:30AM. I had to pay $100 to the Shutter guy to remove the shutter and another $100 for him to come back to reinstall the shutter.
05/05/2017 - The new set of balancers creates awful & loud squealing noise as I open & close the window of the bedroom. Reported this to Davis Glass and was told that they would reorder a new set of balancers + the new additional one that I need to replace in the nook area.
I never received any follow-up response from this company regardless of my call to Chris / Cindy on 05/24/2017, 06/15/2017, 06/16/2017 and today 07/11/2017 @ 11:15AM spoke with Chris who gave me the response that she would research it and would revert in 10 minutes. Now is 1:51PM and still receive no follow-up nor response.
Such an irresponsible company practice and service should deserve 0 star.
07/11/2017 @ 3PM, the owner' son, Mike Davis, called me after I posted the above review. He said he read the review, apologized and stated that he would follow-up.
07/12/2017 - Chris called me to set up appointment for a technician to replace the new set of balancers for one of the Nook window and to check on the squealing noise of the other previously replaced balancers of the bedroom window.
07/14/2017 - the technician, Dennis, came but brought the wrong size of new balancers for the Nook window. He then removed and took my existing old balancers from the Nook window with him so that he could ensure to order the correct size.
07/18/2017 - Another technician, Rick, came with the correct size of balancers for the Nook window. But he scratched the wood window casing on the side leaving a few minor black scratch marks and a 5 inches long deep black scratch mark which cut into the wood grain. The worst thing was he did not acknowledge that he damaged the wood casing at all. I noticed the damage when I inspected his workmanship and tried open and close the window in order to test the new balancers. Then I took pictures and pointed out the damage he made and he tried to make excuses. I was extremely upset and compelled to call Mike Davis, who was on the phone at the time but Chris responded and requested me to send her the pictures and I did.
Mike Davis called me to apologize and tried to find his personal painter to rectify the damage for the next few days.
07/21/17 @ 8AM - the painter, Roberto, came but didn't have the paint. We tried to find out the accurate color/tint from paint companies (30 minutes spent for calling around town.) Then Roberto said he didn't have sufficient money to purchase paint. He said he would go to Davis Glass to pick up cash and then to purchase paint. While the painter was gone, the owner, Dan Davis, called me to reassure me that he would certainly rectify this. The painter came back at around 11AM. The best thing is that the new paint matches my existing wood window casing.
FINALLY Davis Glass & Mirror ENDS THIS IGNOMINIOUS DEBACLE which should have and could have been avoided!!
