We chose the Dandelion for its proximity to my daughter's hotel where her team is staying and for its varied menu selections as she's a vegetarian and we're not.
We were promptly seated: the restaurant was busy but not overly crowded after all it was Tuesday after Christmas.
It would have helped us choose if their online menu and website had indicated that they were a small plates joint and therefore the prices were expensive for the small portions. In disclosure the waitress did tell us it was small plates after she seated us.
Short ribs, mac&cheese, a few different salads, lamb lollipops--it was excellent food all around.
The problem was the poor service.
Having to ask for a replacement napkin several times before it rang a bell. And dessert. It took at least 15 minutes for the waitress to return and apologize that there was no tiramisu then another fifteen before the single dessert appeared.
Lots of waiting and feeling ignored tonight with nobody visible to flag down.
Good food is a large part of the experience but lousy service can wreck it.
