| - I'm the type of person that does a ton of research when I make a purchase and that was no different when it came to the the Aloft Phoenix Airport. My friends and I planned a girls trip to escape the cold Milwaukee weather, and I wanted a hotel that was modern and hip, but affordable and had all the basic amenities. After doing 20+ hours of research, I finally went with the first hotel I looked at, and Aloft it was. Our flight arrived in Phoenix at 9am, and we were able to check in early, which was great. The chick at the front desk during the day was kind of weird though. She didn't seem to know about anything going on there, and didn't know about anything around the city. But whatever, the room was great. Beds were a bit uncomfortable, but that's probably because I'm used to sleeping in a body print of myself every night. Pool was nice, except for the fact that the sun didn't go in there at all, and we wanted to catch some rays, but that may have had to do with the sun being lower in the sky in November. My friend worked out in the fitness center every day, and said it was clean and just the right size for her workout. Loved the proximity to the light rail and airport, and the hotel shuttle dropped us off and picked us up in a couple spots too, which was helpful. The only complaints about this place is that the girl during the weekdays at the front desk is clueless, and the cleaning crew didn't come and clean our room until late one of the days. They also advertise a plug and play thing, where you could plug your device into the tv, and stream shows or play music, and they didn't have any cords available for us to use, but not a huge issue. Would absolutely stay here again! Nice and quiet place to stay, especially during the week!
