I was so excited to be able to take my dog to daycare with his best friend who happens to be a husky. So the two could play together and play with other dogs while I was at work. However, I was met with the unsettling news that my dog wouldn't ever be allowed to play with the other dogs but would have to be kept in a kennel at all times, mind you this was before they ever even met my dog, I was informed this over the phone when they found out my dog was a pit bull. For the other dogs when it is their first time they have to do a temperament training but nope not my dog he would get thrown into a kennel right away because all pit Bulls are vicious killers right? So very wrong, dogs are a product of their environment and this is a direct case of breed discrimination. My dog is the most kind hearted, sweet, loving animal I have ever known, he is more loving and well behaved than my Chihuahua even. He even helped the vet tech at his vets office overcome her fear of pit Bulls because he is such a loving and kind dog. Research has shown that Labs and Rottweilers are more prone to aggressive behavior than Pit Bulls. Even when other dogs have tried to snap at my dog he has never bit back. This saddens my heart that because of breed discrimination my dog will not be allowed to go and play with the other dogs, just because Pit Bulls have been given a bad name due to some being raised in poor environments, this could happen to any dog F.Y.I. Stop feeding into the hate and breed discrimination and understand that not all pit Bulls are aggressive and killers. Stop the breed discrimination, just STOP!
