| - The Grog Shop is certainly a Cleveland institution everyone should visit at least once. The decor is amazing and will be appreciated by anyone who is into music, and the venue itself has hosted some impressive lineups in its time - a tradition they continue to uphold while implementing more modern events (such as a silent disco).
One of the best things about their events (aside from the wide variety of them) is the cost. Most events run about 10-15 dollars, at least for the 21+ crowd, with under 21 usually being a few dollars more. There's also a lot of ways to buy tickets in advance to save money (many local businesses sell them, and are listed on the Grog Shop website).
Personally, I only go to the Grog Shop if they are having an event - i don't drink that much, so going to a bar with no event is not up my alley. However, when I go I sometimes grab a drink or two (or seven) and let me tell you: their drinks are good.
They also (in my experience) have a slightly heavy pour (not terribly heavy, just a little more than you'd expect - if you haven't done much drinking before, you probably wouldn't notice). I really only noticed because my standard drinks affected me just a tiny bit more than usual - so if you like a good, strong drink, this is a good place to check out!
