rev:text	Yesterday, I decided to take my fiancee to Patterson's for an early birthday present. She loves this kind of thing. I have to say that we had a pretty splendid time. The only downside was that there was no apple picking to be had. That could have been my fault. We ended up at the store (apparently the farm is at a different location), but we heard that they were not picking apples and that the closest location was somewhere in Astabula. I am way too lazy for that. If I could only take off a half of a star I would... Despite this faux pas, we had a great time looking at pumpkins, walking around the grounds, and eating some delicious food. We had some phenomenal apple fritters and amazingly good maple bacon doughnuts (I know people get weirded out by sweet foods with bacon, but try it once and I bet you will understand). They were also making kettle corn right out in the open, which I have been snacking on ever since. We stopped in the snack shop for lunch and had some hot cider (some of the best cider around) and delicious pulled pork sandwiches. Segue... We are in the process of planning a wedding and finding the location is turning out to be the most difficult part. Part of the reason is that we want pulled pork at our wedding. Dear Patterson, please have space available for us because I think I am sold at this point. They were having a wedding later that day, and we creepily looked into the windows of their (empty) banquet hall and it looked beautiful! Gini gave it a pretty splendid review for weddings, so we are going to be checking it out soon. I hope it works out! Patterson's was way fun. It's the kind of place where we can all feel like little kids again.
