  • I've taken my daughter here before for a kids program but just recently took her for the Fall Break kids program going on right now. My daughter is 3 years old and Monday went great. I expected to have a little more trouble dropping her off today. I did not however expect to be treated rudely for trying to drop her off. My daughter was upset when I tried to drop her off this morning she was crying and kept telling me she loved me and wanted to go home. In these situations in the past whenever I'm able to just leave she's fine after about a minute. So I was given someone to help get her interested in participating. The problem was it was a younger girl. My daughter is 3. An adult would have been a better choice to help her feel safe and get her involved but I went with it and tried to get her to a point I could leave. After about 5 to 10 minutes at the most with no progress I was told that if my daughter is going to act like this then we need to leave and there was no help to deal with that. Wasn't happy about what was said, the way it was said, or the fact that it was said in front of my daughter and other parents, children, etc. I went home in tears because I was so taken back by what happened. I was confused and hurt. I would have understood if my daughter was constantly screaming and completely out of control that she would have needed to leave. I would have personally made her leave had that been the case. She was crying yes. I guess I should have spoken up and told them I needed an adult to sit with her sooner. I spoke with my mom about what happened and she said she'd go down and talk to them to try to sort out the situation. She was saying maybe she's just having a bad day, etc... When she got home she explained to me that she was told my daughter was screaming and they had "tried everything" before I was told to go home. She was also told that adults tried to help us. No adults tried to help us whatsoever so I'm confused who they were referring to. And I'm also left wondering what "tried everything" means because I feel as though only one thing was tried by them. Sending the young girl over. I understand not having enough help but the way we were treated over not having enough help wasnt right. If you truly don't have enough help to be able to have an adult sit with a child for about a minute while I walk out then maybe the program should not have been run. Had I been treated with respect we could have figured something out. Maybe I could have "left" her there and really been around the corner to see if she calmed down after a few. If she didnt then come in and get her. Or just go sit in my car. They could have called me. We could have had options. You need patience to deal with young children especially. If patience isn't something that is going to be offered to the kids going there for the events at least make them for kids older than 3. I'm just so disappointed with todays events. I don't generally write bad reviews and try to give people and places the benefit of the doubt. Or give them second chances. But when things are said that didnt even happen, etc....I can't help but be a bit upset by it. Because of what happened today my daughter will not be returning to another kids program done by them. Which is super sad because she has some friends who attend.
