| - YELP 365 CHALLENGE 2014-(323/365) "Snow, Sled Rides, and Santa"
For the first time this year, Downtown Las Vegas(corner of 8th and Fremont) has been transformed into a winter wonderland thanks to the folks at Zappos. On our way to Container Park, we noticed the bright lights and trees, and when we got past the gates, it felt as if we weren't in the desert!
Snow, ice skating and sledding going on, and everyone from the littlest toddler to grandma and grandpa with smiles on their faces just taking in the scenery of winter.
There's also a comfy outdoor lounging area with movies and shows showing on the projector at certain times, food trucks if and when hunger hits, and you can even get a photo with Santa, which is what we did.
Photos are $10 each with $8 for a second one if you wish. According to the guy behind the camera, Santa is there until December 23rd so here's your chance to plop your kid on Santa's lap for that obligatory Christmas photo. Looking for a real tree to put up? Trees are also on sale here too. Not too sure what the hours here are, but when we asked a worker, he said that they were open 7 days until late, and until December 24th...Go now and check it out while you can! I strongly suggest going at night for the full effect...ALOHA!!!
