  • Friendly, professional atmosphere. Offers Psychiatry-/Psychology-/Other-related services, despite the name. Check the site, flyers in the waiting room, or ask as they have a lot of afternoon/evening events or sessions on various things that looked interesting and/or helpful. I say looked as I've not personally been to any. The wait is usually short, better than most all other related specialists office waits I've ever encountered. As per usual there's a varied selection of magazines, books, periodicals, and other reading material available to suit just about any interest; I've actually found myself a little miffed more than once due to not finishing an article in Science or Popmech before my wait was up. I don't know how much this may affect anyone as most people likely carry a smartphone or tablet and may not rely on old-school paper-based diversion, but its there if the need arises. Chairs: meh. Make sure to ask/pay copay at the first chance you get, else it may go unmentioned. Not their fault, but I found myself with a 300 dollar statement out of nowhere going back several months, fortunately didn't kill my credit but I would have preferred to know (or perhaps have it made known more clearly) if 'such-and such' fee is charged to me, or insurance didn't pay something when they charge me, or at least not presume I already know when I ask if I owe anything. Billing is in a different part of the building, I'm told, and as I said, not entirely anyone's fault but I took nearly a star off for the lack of communication and clarity, or at least both could be improved. Only other con (I'm not hating, if I can find only a couple things to nitpick about anything dealing with modern-day healthcare, that's amazing in itself) is there are no reminders for non MD-type appointments for some reason, though they will bill you. Hard, and not really mention it (rarely, they have) [billing was mentioned above]. I don't know why they don't remind for some services, it can waste Dr. and patient time, money too. It may only affect the unorganized and forgetful like me, and isn't their responsibility. Just, IMHO it would be more consistent to... be consistent with reminding/confirming all appointments. Otherwise nice people, professional and non-intimidating environment. Parking can be from Mineral Point Rd. (by the old Uno's Sign) or coming from the west part of West Towne turn left at the Gloria Jean(or whatever it's called) Coffee across from the strip mall with Peir1, etc in it, and the parking lot's on your right.
