This was one of the easiest car rentals I've experienced. They had a low miles compact SUV with all the bells and whistles available for us as requested and ready to go when we arrived. On return, they went out of their way to make sure we got checked in and taken care of. I believe the managers run an efficient operation, but are interested in assuring a good experience for their clients.

I drive with hand controls. After making a reservation online through Costco's travel site. I called Alamo's direct hotline with my accommodation request. Often I am told that they can't promise what car they can put the controls on, or even if they do, it's often substituted for a different vehicle without checking with me. In this case, I needed an compact SUV to carry all of our party and luggage (plus my wheelchair). The rep promised we'd get what we wanted, and Alamo delivered. The YUL office had a midsize SUV with hand controls pulled up to the curb for me and we were all set. Upon return, the person checking us in went out of his way to make sure we could unload with enough of the space and time that we needed.
