  • Without a doubt, Karl's is the best bakery I've found since growing up in North Chicago in the 1950s. THE BEST. Their cookies, genuine European-style coffee cakes -- simply as good as they can be. Karl's Bakery is small and easy to miss -- located on the Central Rd. side of a mall at Central & Dunlap in Phoenix. If you've never been to a REAL bakery, this is it.
