Marble slab is one of those places that is so bad, it's good. One second I'm hungry with friends and the next someone says, "Marble Slab", everyone looks around shifty eyed and smiling, we are on our way. For health and price reasons, you can't visit too often but when you do it is well worth it.
The ice cream itself is tasty. I find myself to be quite a natural with my mix-ins. For example, sometime this week I got praline ice cream with Reese's peanut butter cup and somehow I convinced the guy to give me walnuts for free! (Note: That's something else that's annoying, you pay for EVERYTHING- unless you're feisty like me) It was delicious and I really do admire the talent of those people that put it all together. Imagine their arms after such work!
I give three stars because as much as I enjoy their ice cream, I'm not jazzed by Marble Slab. I like it but there's no chemistry. The location is nice and central but that means virtually no seat. I'm a cup and spoon girl so where does that leave me? Nevertheless, it is hard to resist that craving.
