I was in line to order the new model at 6am when the mall was suppose to open. Security guards were very obnoxious to the couple of dozen people waiting in line. They threatened to call police if those of us waiting did not dispurse. Fortunately, a customer offered to pass out numbered tickets. He de-escalated the situation and everything was fine until 2 hours later when the Tesla service manager said he was not going to honor the tickets and it would be first come first serve. Eventually he changed his mind and again the situation de-escalated. Boo for Tesla for claiming they were only expecting about 10 people in line. They should have had a company representative present by 6am to do what the helpful customer did for them. I called corporate Tesla to relay the situation and the CEO's secretary hung up. By 9am when Tesla began taking orders there were well over 200 people. I give poor marks to Tesla for not being better prepared and to the mall security company for hiring rude employees.
