After an 8 hour train ride, all my partner and I wanted to do was collapse into bed. But we dragged ourselves out with the promise of noodles, and weren't disappointed by Nudo. We ordered at the counter - ramen with pork belly, dumplings, steamed broccoli - and sat at a tall table watching through the window as one of the cooks hand-stretched batches of noodles. In our exhausted state, it was mesmerizing-- but upon reflection, it was a really cool view into how fresh their food really is. When we got everything back to the Airbnb, we dug in like starving wolves. The broccoli turned out to be covered in chili flakes, which was a bit too spicy for me, but everything else was delicious; perfect comfort food for a chilly rainy night when all you want to do is go to bed after.
