  • my parents got a gift certificate here, so we thought we'd give it a go before the cert. expired. the ambiance was pretty chill... and verrrrry empty on a Thursday afternoon. service was pretty good... although better signage would have helped when we walked around the building, entered through the "wrong" door, and stood there for several minutes while no one came to greet us. the food? it was alright. nothing spectacular, nothing really latin-fusion, as the name implies (dined here for lunch). just your basic wraps/sandwiches/salads and some burgers. nothing was terrible, yet not outstanding. my turkey delfino wrap? it was filling (very large portion), BUT it was dripping some sort of creamy liquid constantly = very messy. i was starving, so i was satisfied, but i wouldn't order it again. my side salad was a pretty good portion, but i have a problem eating greens that taste (and look) reminiscent of the weeds sprouting in my backyard. also, found several rusted pieces of greens in there. the crinkle-cut sweet potato fries are served with maple syrup, which pretty much grossed me out with the over sweetness... you'd think they'd serve it with something spicy/salty. shrug. my verdict: it's ok, but i've had MUCH MUCH better sp fries. maybe it was the thickness of the fries? not sure, but i do dislike crinkle-cut fries. i tasted my mom's club, which was served on flat bread, just like my dad's philly cheesesteak, so it was more like a quesadilla. these were pretty good, and also served in a large portion. for dessert, we tried the ooey gooey cookies with ice cream. and why they named it that is beyond me! more like crispity crunchity! they cut the cookies in wedges, served with a scoop or 2 of vanilla ice cream, and topped with a chocolate raspberry sauce. they don't really describe it well in the menu, so the raspberry taste was a shocker. and the cookies were hard, so you couldn't really eat them with the ice cream. again, nothing remarkable, and rather disappointing and blah. in conclusion: it was just aight. i'm not making any big plans on going back, but i'd give it a shot for breakfast, or after 3pm for their "latin" menu.
