| - In the many years I spent as a Tempe area renter, I have never, ever heard anyone have a good experience with this company.
Unfortunately, the owner, Tim, has snapped up quite a few of the smaller, casita one and two bedrooms homes in the downtown area.
Regardless of knowing better, when looking for a place I inevitably end up at their web site, looking at all those units and hoping it will be different this time.
Nope. Every time i call they're unprofessional, disinterested and rude. They once had me view a place that was absolutely trashed. I couldn't even walk on the ground it was so covered in crud. The fence was falling down outside and when I asked if that would be fixed before I moved in (if I were to take the property), the girl just stared back and mumbled something incomprehensible.
It's like they know they have a lot of units and know they will always be able to rent them to college kids (most of the one beds go for about $500, which is hard to resist when you're poor). But don't do it! Customer service is terrible and they always take the max they can for security deposit and I've never of them giving a dime back.
I've almost fallen victim too many times, and heard too many horror stories from those who rented from Rental Tempe. Stay away.
