I had taken my husband's watch which seemed to just need a new battery to another jewelry repair place that seemed to have a good reputation because it is an expensive watch. They said it was not the battery but it was in need of a cleaning and oiling. (BTW, the watch was basically brand new and had not been worn very much.) They wanted $92 for the cleaning! . My instinct said to go else where. I am SO glad I did. I went to Master Watch Repair because of the other good reviews. After looking at the watch, he quickly determined that somehow a coil circuit had been damaged - possibly when the case was pried off at the previous place. ( I can't prove this, but the previous place are the only ones I had ever taken this watch to.) Anyways, the owner immediately saw the problem and fixed it within 10 minutes and installed a new battery. Now it works like new!
The owner was VERY knowledgeable and trustworthy. He specializes in watch repair and is excellent. His price was very reasonable. He also does jewelry repair so I will go to him when the occasion arises.
A couple of points if you go. His sign out front says Watch and Jewelry Repair. It doesn't say Master Watch Repair (but he is a master at repairing watches!). Also, he only accepts cash.
I HIGHLY recommend this place!
