  • The Fremont Street Experience is several blocks of fun. It is covered now and has been for some years. You can walk it in the rain if you want. The ceilings have a show of 3D lights every 20 minutes or so. Maybe it will be Elvis themed or maybe race cars. Whatever the theme is you will love it. It is colorful, filled with music and ever so pretty. While you walk, you can stop at the few small casinos that are left and play slots. There are trinket shops the Golden Nugget Hotel is on a corner and beautiful. You can dine there or keep walking a grab a snake. You have not seen Las Vegas if you just stay at the Strip. Downtown is worth the cab ride. You can not walk to Downtown from the Strip, it is a couple miles. As always while in Las Vegas, your wallet is in your front pocket and no you are not interested in, "Come with me it is free", and you are not going off with people you do not know. Have a great time.
