  • You know you go to Vegas too often when you start heading to Off-Strip places for dinner. Capo's has evidently been featured on one of those food TV shows and there's definitely a gangster mob speakeasy theme here. Right up my alley, obviously. You ring the bell outside the entrance and a guy slides open a tiny window and asks what you want/what you're doing there, sort of like Robert De Niro's 'whads da matter with ya?' voice. We didn't have reservations, which you probably should do if you want a table. It was no prob, we got seated at the bar and were fine with that. It's really dark in here, so much so that the menu includes a little light on it so you can read it. Good thing I checked out the menu online before so I kinda had a clue! A bartender was our server, she was really nice and pleasant and checked on us frequently. I'd tell you she was really attractive too, but again it was too dark to tell, so maybe it was just a guy that had extremely large pectoral muscles. Oh, she (or he?) was really good at making recommendations and answering questions about the menu too. What we had: bruschetta, calamari, meatballs, and my main course was Vinnie's Alla Vodka. The latter comes in at a bit under $20 and is what I'd totally recommend. The meatball appetizer also seems to be one of their signature items and is probably something you should give a try. I know we had a few other things, but this is what I can remember. Or, maybe it was just so dark that I couldn't see half of what I ate. Don't forget to check out the decor here too.
