Terrible - Hertz ripped me off / Charged me DOUBLE
I'm what Hertz calls a "High Volume" because I rent frequently. This was my experience at CLE Hertz:
- Emailed rental reservation confirmation is for $86.12.
- I did not upgrade or incur any incremental charges (fuel, GPS, etc.).
- Hertz more than doubled their quoted rate and charged me $174 (that's a rip off of more than $100%..."profit" straight to their bottom line).
- I could not speak to the local location about the overcharge. No one at the Oklahoma national service center could explain the overcharge.
- The car I rented also had zero gas in it (the light was on) and was dirty with fast food trash.
This is not the first time Hertz has overcharged me, but I have never known them to have a billing error that lowered my final bill. Funny how that works.
