I replaced my outdoor ADT camera with a Ring Spotlight cam. I want to move the ADT camera indoors. I noticed when I removed the ADT camera, I found out the ADT technician cut the power cord and spliced the cord. I am not sure why. I obviously did not have to do this with the Ring cam. I called Livesmart Automation to see if they had a replacement power cord so I can install the camera indoors. I was told the cord does not come separately from the camera. Now I am stuck with an eyesore and dangerous spliced power cord to a camera I paid for. They gave me an option of having a technician come out to install and magically fix a spliced power cord, or pay for a new camera. Of course, I would be charged a service fee for something that was not my fault. They seemed very unempathetic, and are not taking fault for their mistake or stand behind their product/faulty installation.
I called ADT directly, and immediately scheduled their technician to come out. The service fee was waived too.
