If you have complications or don't heal optimally after your foot surgery don't expect Dr Dershowitz or his staff to help you in any way.
You are on your own if you need anything to help you like a walker, a wheelchair or help finding any resources. My mother wasn't able to walk after foot surgery, and the doctor and his staff didn't prepare us for this possibility at all, nor did they help after I called to ask for advice. This is irresponsible! I did find some help through an organization called Ability 360, which my mom's primary care physician referred me to.
Be prepared for the worst no matter how "minor" the surgery. Have a caregiver's number on hand and know where you can borrow a wheelchair, walker, cane or crutch ahead of time! Ask your friends and your community, don't waste your time calling this office because no one here will lift a finger to help you.
