  • We had 125 sq yds of carpet installed on 4/15/15 and we are very pleased with the results. The sales rep -James was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout our selection and measurement process. The lead carpet installer-Jamie was very professional and was truly customer oriented. Frankly, I don't see how we could have possibly done any better. Just a few tips: 1. Don't allow yourself to be dissuaded by the location and appearance of Carpets Galore. It's in a rather seedy neighborhood and the building appears to be a bit dilapidated, but the cost savings vs Costco and RC Willey was very significant (in our case, Carpets Galore was at least 20% less). We also liked the idea of going with a company that specializes in carpet. 2. Carpet installation is damn hard physical labor, so do your best to properly prepare your rooms for the installation. Remove your non-furniture items from the floors (including closets) and disconnect your electronics equipment. The easier your make it for these guys, the more energy they'll have to focus on the actual installation. Also, it doesn't hurt to have some cold drinks and light snacks available for the installers. 3. Moving furniture, removing over a 1000 sq ft of old carpet and padding, installing new carpet and pad, putting back the furniture.... How could you not expect to get a few small scuff marks on the baseboards and walls? They did a good job of cleaning up, but we did spend about 20 minutes cleaning a few spots on the baseboards and we needed to touch up paint an approx. 1 inch square area on one wall.
