rev:text	Update: May 2011. Incredible! I no longer have any complaints about Rona. It is truly a pleasure to recommend this store now. When I go there now, I am almost always approached by a Rona person who wants to help me find what I need, and they do. Another really nice touch is the new coffee shop; called Choices I believe. What an improvement. Must be the YELP influence. Update: November 3rd, 2010 Well, what do you know, the Rona guys must be reading YELP. Their customer service attitude has improved dramatically since I wrote the original review below. More cashiers, more people on the floor asking if they can help, more smiles and always a friendly face welcoming us to the store. Nice work Rona. I will up my rating to 4 stars from 3 as a result. In my mind you're out in front of Home Depot now. Fix that mess at the fluorescent fixtures rack and I will give you 5. Original Review: Well I'm glad Rona has a store near me but it would be a gross distortion to say the store was a pleasure to shop at. There is never enough staff around and the idea that we do-it-yourselfers can get good advice here is 90% false. Almost any other hardware and building supply store can better the Crowfoot store's performance. It's just poorly managed for whatever reason. I suspect head office myopia. There are plenty of signs the staff is stressed. Just walk into the Totem store in Bowness sometime, then go directly to Rona to compare. You'll see, it's night and day. At Totem they greet you at the door with a smile and a hello, they all have a little jump in their step etc. And, you rarely have to line up to check out at Totem. At Rona you always wait to pay. Notice I did not make a comparison to Home Depot. They are only slightly better than Rona, but Totem is much better. C'mon Rona we need you to live up to that great TV advertising. I want to buy Canadian but you make it so hard!
