  • DISHONEST!!! And in my option extremely unethical! I could make this extremely long, but to give you an idea of what I went though (and am still going through): 1. Refused to bill insurance company for surgery making me pay for it out of my pocket. Claimed that the insurance company would not pay for it. Spoke later to insurance company that told me that was not the case and that it should have been submitted to them. Insurance company called what they did "shady" and told me to have them submit the claim which they refused to do. Insurance company also informed me with what they did they would receive 100% of the cost of the surgery whereas when they submit it to them they only get paid a fraction of the cost. 2. Had to pay for surgery in full before it was performed. I was charged more than double what I was supposed to be charged on my credit card. It took approximately 8 attempts to get someone to talk to me regarding the issue. I even at one point went into their office and they refused to let me speak to anyone. Was treated like they were doing me a favor by "fixing" the bill. Had the same issue with the second surgery and this time was told they would "do me a favor" and charge me less (actually what they were supposed to be charging me in the first place!!) My response to that was to tell them that they needed to honor the contact that was agreed upon. 3. After 1st surgery refused to answer questions that I had regarding upcoming surgery on second eye and other issues that I had. Was treated beyond rude by one of the doctors to the point I left the office extremely upset and shaking. He was very irate with me. I decided to cancel my 2nd surgery until they answered my questions. I was then treated in a very condescending manner while trying to get my questions answered and even at one point was told that they were the professionals and knew what they were doing. 4. Would not tell me which medications I needed and what doses. I went into surgery not having any idea what I needed to do. Was told conflicting things by different people. 5. Had one of their techs try and steal the drops what where meant to be given to me. 6. Instead of prescribing a medication that would be covered by the insurance, they have me get one that was very expensive that I have to pay 100% of. When questioned about it was told I would have to put more drops in my eyes with the one the insurance company would have paid for. 7. At one point I was told I might have glaucoma. Since that time I have asked several times whether I have it or not and they have refused to answer me. To this day, I still do not know. Avoid these people like the plague!!
