  • Why Lord why can't we have places like this all over the valley?? Papago is one of the FEW cool craft brew spots in AZ. I am thankful they are around and desperately hoping we will have more just like them one day. Papago has been on my list for quite some time. Unfortunately, it's a far drive for me and our public transportation system is horrid out here. No thanks tent city. Papago has an awesome selection of craft brews. I felt like I was in an adult in a Willy Wonka and the Craft factory special. I have Orange Blossom a few times and enjoyed it but I can only do so much of the sweet vanilla flavors. However, their El Robusto Porter was where it was at for me on my first visit. Beautiful dark, roasty, but still light on the tongue and huge on the flavor. I wish they sold this bad boy in stores. I'm hoping someone has a clone for it out there. Not only was the beer excellent but the bartender exceeded expectations. He brought me several samples of really good brews as well as chatted with me about brews currently not available. I had a really good citrus blue cheese type salad and a buffalo chicken wing pizza that was money. I look forward to going back to Papago to try more. Wish they had one closer to home.
