  • The main benefit of this studio is the VERY affordable class pass specials that they run. The classrooms also have a nice view of the small water feature in the courtyard between the buildings. They seem like nice enough people, so I didn't want to give three stars. However, the main reason I am attending yoga is for restorative practices. The only one they offer that my schedule allows me to attend is Yoga Nidra on Sundays. I have attended 3 of these sessions. Having taken Yoga Nidra at other studios, I have learned that I really appreciate instructors who use a neutral voice tone without affectation. The voice affectations can be quite annoying. The biggest problem is that during each Yoga Nidra class, right in the next room they have scheduled some kind of very intense yoga, where the instructor is very loudly barking instructions without a pause and playing loud music. It sounds like a acrobatics class or something. Just imagine trying to relax and meditate with that going on next door. The instructors always tell class members to try and let the noises go, but it's nearly impossible. It would make a huge difference if SOY could try to either alter the schedule to not have meditative yoga going on at the same time as that intense class, or move the classes further apart (there is an empty room farther away). I will continue to attend as I bought a lot of class passes from groupon, and it's close to my house, but would appreciate some action to try and improve this very disruptive situation.
