Went to Mastro's to celebrate birthday with friends. We knew that this was a high end steak house, and for the over the top price of everything - perfection was expected. 3 out 4 of us had really good meals, but the New York strip was not a quality piece of meat. Entrees, salads and dessert were all great. Most disappointing was the very slow service - once we had ordered it was like we became invisible. The dining experience was 3 1/2 hours long on a very busy evening. Finally, while the special event was mentioned by our waiter at the outset of the evening, there was no celebratory drink or dessert offered by the restaurant. For a bill of $500+, we expected perfection on all fronts.
