| - We've always passed this place near our area but was never tempted to give it a try, partly due to the negligible looking location and generic-sounding name of the place (falls under the "this is either gonna be great or suck" category), but after reading good reviews about it, we finally decided to give it a go. First, let me get this right off the bat, the place serves good quality sushi (there's even signage expressing that the restaurant "adheres to strict Japanese standards" offering only quality ingredients), but that's where my enthusiasm ends. The sushi nigiri is excellent, especially the uni, but the scallop dynamite was a big let down (too much onion chunks). Speaking of enthusiasm, it was seriously lacking with the elderly Japanese lady serving the place (perhaps she was tired, perhaps she's just like that, I don't know). We felt rushed (and there is a 1-hour time limit to your AYCE dinner stay BTW), and she sounds indignant every single time we had to "bother" her for an order (yes ma'am I know I already ordered hamachi, and yes I am ordering another, please and thank you). In any case, I'm glad that curiosity is out of the way, it's a good, hole-in-the-wall place that obviously has ample following, but it's just not for us. Service, after all, is part of the overall dining experience.
