and the saga continues...
I got the call - the antenna part was in. I arrived at 7 AM and was greeted by my friendly service rep. I ask "how long?" He says "The guys are just rolling in. We'll get your car in SAP". Really???? The service depart is open at 7 AM but the service techs aren't there yet???
K. So I go upstairs to the wait room. I don't eat donuts and I don't drink coffee - and I don't like the smell of either - but I get to sit there and smell them both - besides - who, in their right mind, would eat donuts or muffins from an open air tray in a public place?
I plug in my computer and start my work day. My car isn't even showing up on the electronic service board. I'm not sure what that's all about.
After about an hour Service Rep guy comes up, squats beside the table I'm working at an says...wait for it...." I've some some good news and a little bit of bad news". Great. Just great.
The cruise control is done. Okay let's celebrate something. The bad news - they were sent (or maybe they ordered????) the wrong part for the antenna. so no one checks when oddball parts come in to make sure they are the right parts???? For Pete's sake!
Service Rep guy apologizes all over himself like that's going to make one more trip in super convenient. He promised to do what he could to make it up to me. That would be free servicing for a year with no screw-ups in my opinion but I doubt that's going to happen.
I've heard good things about another garage not far from Southgate. Guess I'll be introducing my car to them when it needs servicing in the Spring.
