| - This place has Four Diamonds for very good reason...it's amazing. The garden entry and rustic interior is one of the best restaurant atmospheres I've ever seen. They have an excellent bar area with a fireplace. The inside is absolutely beautiful, with each table having a slightly different theme. The waiter was excellent. He had a great personality and was very patient with all of my questions. The pacing was perfect.
Their focaccia bread with pesto was amazing. Freshly baked, great flavor, and wonderful olive oil.
The octopus appetizer was incredible. It was perfectly cooked, which is one of the hardest culinary feats. Most places overlook it, but they prepared it so it cut like butter. Served with a great olive tapenade.
The black truffle soup was probably the best soup I've had this year. The strong truffle flavor was complimented by the cream base.
And for the entree, the best lamb dish of my life. Perfect medium rare, served with homemade tatziki sauce, feta, and cucumbers. It was accompanied with falafel.
Overall, one of the best restaurants in Phoenix, and very romantic.
