  • My mantra for most of my life has generally been that if I'm dealing with an attorney or a mechanic, I'm going to get screwed in one way or another and there's not a darn thing I can do about it. That is, until I found Ray at Bavarian Motor. Until a year ago I always took my car to the dealership for maintenance & repairs. I knew it was more expensive, but I figured at least the work would be guaranteed if it was done improperly, etc. Then, my kid brother got a summer job at this particular dealership on Camelback and shared with me just how much of a premium I was paying- the prices of parts and labor were generally inflated by 3 times the norm! On principle, I couldn't go back. So I find this little Ray of Sunshine [pun intended] down on 16th Street and can't believe my luck. Every time I call, whether a simple oil change or most recently in severe need of all new brake pads/rotors (yes that's me riding you're a** around town) Ray can fit me in within a day or two. I drop off, he assesses, he calls with exactly what's needed- nothing more, nothing less- and gives me an ETA and price. It's always ready on time (same day!) and at the price he quoted. No shenanigans, no weird feeling in the pit of my stomach telling me I'm being taken advantage of, just excellent customer and car service. They work exclusively on BMW's & Minis Coopers, so if you own one of these and need a fair mechanic you're in great luck! If not, I hope you have a mechanic and an attorney in your immediate family.
