  • So I went to this credit union and inquired about opening an account and I was told that I did not qualify even though I am retired from the Army/Army Reserves with 34 years service which includes 2 combat tours to Afghanistan where I was awarded the Bronze Star and Combat Action Badge and I am "partially" disabled.The person I spoke to was not helpful and even acted somewhat condescending and crass. I think he was putoff by my credentials. Guess I will try Nellis Air Force Base Credit Union and see if they accept retired combat veterans for new accounts.
