I would like to update my review since moving into the apartment 2 weeks ago.. we arr not impressed by the "luxury resort apartments". We had an apartment on hold and a few weeks before move in time they call and say its no longer available. They assured me that we would get a deal on any 2 bedroom apartment. Which was awesome. We picked a new apartment and we did a walk through only to see the measurement of the landing by the stairs. We noticed somethings that needed to be fixed and asked for them to be done before move in. This was 5 days prior to move in. Tiana assured me it would be taken care of. We called the day before move in to see if everything was ready for us to move in. Tiana said that they have a meeting tomorrow morning and wont be in the office till the afternoon which put a damper on our plans to get internet up. She wouldn't have told us about this unless i called. We got the keys early with a promise to not go to the apartment till the next day. We complied with that since we needed to be there to meet the cox guy at 9 or 10. We get to the apartment and we start to actually do an inspection. We we're baffled. Rust all in the sinks and washer! Looked like the painters were in a rush because there was a lot of over paint. The sinks had so much calcium build up that the water wasnt coming out like it should. I pulled out the stove to look under and there was a ton of food under there from the previous tenant. In the cabinet was a huge patch that was terribly done it had holes all around it. A puncture hole in the shower. In the master bath the shower door along the bottom where its sealed is an off color orange. Which leads me to believe that it wasnt cleaned before they sealed it. The kitchen sink was stained terribly and the seal around the sink was black once i wiped it, it was whitish clear. Every cabinet was dirty with food crumbs and dirty hand prints. The blinds still had food splatter and dirt. Walls had crayon markings. Dish washer was disgusting with food crumbs in it and a rusty and with calcium build up. We moved all day in and tried to clean up the apartment. As we opened the door to get more boxes it never failed a cockroach would run in. Once it gets dark a bit you will see a ton. Burns pest doesnt work at all for it. We brought in our form for our inspection which was 3 pages front and back! When monica the manager saw that she informed me that all my concerns on my list are normal wear and tear for a used apartment. I have lived in older apartments and NEVER had this problem rust is wear in tear when the tenants dont take care of it and prevent it. But this is something that should be taken care of before a new tenant is to move in. I informed her it needs to be taken care of. Since then my sink rust was taken care of. But my washer sits there unused for the 2 weeks we have been here. They have told us that iys not an issue and just to use it. But i tell them this is not satisfactory for a new resisdent to have a rusty washer and needs to be fix. Monicas response is to push it off as long as possible. She informed me that its seems we are not happy and that their are other residents that would happily take my apartment and offered me to move out. She rather me leave than to fix some work on our appliances that is their responsibility to maintain. My rent covers thr appliances to be maintained. I wish that we knew how bad the manager and staff was. To conclude to this long rant i also saw her telling the maintenance guy who said he could bring me a new washer not to do so and some other things. The maintenance will tell us one thing that fixes our problem then it gets back to monica and everything changes and is more difficult...
