I have been coming to Polished off And on for a few years now and found a few really great nail techs that I would go to. However, I had an issue with a few of my nails so I decided to go back to get them repaired the next day and was put with a couple of girls I haven't been to before. The first girl took care of two of my nails and had to give me over to the second girl to fix the other one since her client was waiting. The second girl, Nina, started filing my nails then stopped and stared at me so I looked at her and asked if that was all she was doing and she said "yep you're done!" My nails were obviously not done. So I looked at my pinky and asked her if she could fix the matte polish on it because it wasn't fully covered in matte and looked messy for a $70 job. And she said she would have to completely redo that nail and didn't want to do it and I said yes this is why I came in and she grabs my pinky and paints a coat of matte on top and sticks it under the lamp and takes it out and goes see! Now look at it! It was cloudy and looked terrible and not was I asked her to do. So I said "Nina, I have to go to a work meeting could you please just remove the polish and completely redo it because now it just looks worse than before?" And she yelled at me and said "that's not my job! Go to the front and ask someone else!" As she stormed out of her seat and walked away from me. I sat there shocked and embarrassed that she was treating me that way and went to the front and actually cried because I was so shaken up and frustrated and told the manager at the front who immediately put me with someone else to finish the job. The problem was the only person to apologize to me about my experience was the last lady to fix my nails.
I have spent a lot of money at this business for years and never thought I'd be treated like that. I'm extremely disappointed with the way the situation was handled and the lack of good customer service. I used go to polished for the whole experience not just the nails. I could get my nails done just as good if not better anywhere else and not spend the unbelievable amount of money they charge at Polished.
I'd also like to add that I came in for a scheduled appointment one morning and apparently who ever took my name over the phone and set my appointment up for me a couple days prior never put down because when I got there the girl in the front said "yeah you don't have an appointment" then just stared at me. Again, no apology. Nothing. So I said ok fine I will just set something up another time and I ended up leaving and going to Creative Nails down the street who actually did a fantastic job and took me in as a walk in.
I've heard from a lot of the girls that I work with no longer go to Polished because they have had similar experiences and also because the people who work there have this attitude that they are better than everyone else and are way overpriced. It's unfortunate for the business because I'm a cocktail server here in Las Vegas and I've sent a lot of girls to them over the years. I will not be doing that again.
