  • I just recently purchased my first house in South Scottsdale. After living there for a couple months, my girlfriend complained about being cold at night. I realized I was feeling drafts coming from my windows. Being that it's Arizona it was not really a big deal to me but she kept complaining about it. After giving some thought, if we were getting drafts in the winter, the summer heat would also get in! Since this was my first house, I had no clue how to go about finding window replacement companies. I used a service called Home Advisor that I saw on TV to get names of a couple local contractors to get estimates. One company that was referred was Republic West. Almost instantly after I received the email with the referrals, Republic West called to set up an appointment. They had a 4.9 out of 5 stars so I figured I would have them out. I also had Home Depot and American Vision Windows out to give estimates. Both the Home Depot and American vision salespeople gave me ludicrous estimates then tried to reduce the price with "today only pricing". Maybe that is how its done but it didn't feel right to me. Republic West came out and gave a very informative demonstration and after the advertised discount (which they gave to me and I was not aware of) their price was considerably less then the other two companies and I decided to buy from them. I was informed that the windows would take about 4-5 weeks to be custom manufactured and the install would take 1 day. At week 3, Stephanie called to inform me the windows had arrived and we set up an install date for a week later on a Saturday. At around 7:30 am Nick and his crew showed up and started working. They laid drop cloths and the entire crew was very respectful of my home even helped me move some furniture. They installed 8 windows in my house and it only took a day. I am so glad I decided to replace my windows because the last couple days have been very hot and the house stayed cool. My first remodeling experience turned out great and I am considering using Republic west to reface my kitchen cabinets, which are original. I have already recommended them to my co-workers and will continue to recommend them in the future.
