I had the pleasure of having a delightful young man named Mike come to my house and provide a check up my my Goodman HVAC unit. He was dishonest in about every single way. One thing he did was state he opened up the air handler and that it the evap coil was full of pet hair and that he will clean it for $160.00. Well, I'm telling you that he did not even open it up since the putty seal was not broken. He also took the liberty of urinating in the overflow pan while in the attic. This is supposedly an old trick of the trade when you do not authorize service so they pee in your pan as retaliation. I still have pee crystals in the pan. He also stated I needed a compressor capacitor and that it would cost $180 to fix. I found it on Ebay for $26 and I changed it myself. I don't even know if it was bad but I figured it was cheap enough to fix if needed. I got the feeling this guy was dishonest from the time he got to my front door. I did not want anything but to pay him the $34.95 to get rid of him. He kept pushing a service contract to me for about $600 which would save me money in the even I needed to ever replace my HVAC unit. He could even fix the capacitor and clean both coils for me for free if I bought the plan.
I'd avoid this company at all costs. This company is the type that will be on Dateline NBC selling products people don't need because the technicians get paid on commission and not by the hour.
