  • Hiro Sushi is the best Japanese restaurant in Arizona. It's everything you ever want in a sushi restaurant. It is authentic Japanese, prices are reasonable, and the fish is fresh. Forget about all the other fancy, trendy, expensive sushi restaurants in the valley. This is where it's at. I've had the spicy salmon roll, spicy yellowtail, las vegas and a salmon skin hand roll. The rice is cooked perfectly and as previously mentioned, the fish is always fresh. My boyfriend always orders the chef's choice (Omakase I believe?). For appetizers, I always order the seaweed salad and squid salad. Their calamari is honestly my favorite calamari ever. It is cut into tiny pieces and breaded, and comes in a bowl with green onions and ponzu sauce. Absolutely delicious. You can't go wrong with the hamachi kama as well as one of their potato string wrapped shrimp appetizers. All of my foodie friends and I always rave about how amazing Hiro Sushi is. If you are a sushi snob like myself, there is absolutely no doubt that Hiro would be your favorite as well.
