Needed one piece of paper notarized. Called the store in the morning to ask the latest time the notary was available, since the store closes at 6pm and my husband doesn't leave work til after 5pm. I was told the notary was available until 6pm. So, we rushed over there and walked in at 5:32pm. There was one man working that I could see and a few customers waiting. So, he shouts to us at the door "What do you need?". I say we need a notary. "You need to come back tomorrow, no more notaries" he says. A woman in line gasps and he tells her "Don't worry, I will still do yours". Then he shouts to us again "You need to come back tomorrow, it is after 5:30". I tell him "just so you know, I called this morning and was told that notary was available until 6pm, you may want to let that man know if his information isn't correct". He just shouts back in an annoyed manner "I will!". Nothing else. Now I completely understand if the place is short-staffed and he is the only one there. I work in customer service myself. But, this was downright rude. To just shout over the other customers to people in the doorway. Very disappointed. That isn't the way to operate. Since this was an important matter that couldn't wait until tomorrow, we rushed to another UPS store further down Sahara. The wonderful man there suggested going to Nevada Legal Forms on Charleston and Valley View. Walked in with less than 10 minutes to closing and they kindly took the two minutes to notarize our sheet. I will definitely go there for notary from now on. And I will certainly go to the UPS store at Spanish oaks for all shipping needs from now on. There is something to be said for kindness and not taking out your aggressions on customers.
