  • You can never go wrong with a Hampton Inn, at least in my experiences thus far. I remember listening to a recent interview on the Nerdist Podcast (I forget which one) and Chris Hardwick and the person he was interviewing waxed rhapsodic about the beds. I guess Hamptons are beloved by road comics everywhere. And they are absolutely right, the beds really are divine. Anyway. This is a newer Hampton. I swear it even had that new hotel smell. There are a few Hamptons I've stayed in that have been shabby in the common areas, but not this one. It was pretty pristine. I think there was a wedding going on nearby, as a lot of well-dressed people were staying here. Not Lee and I. We roll in, T-shirt clad and duffel toting, and are treated just as well as any other guest. I always appreciate that. Off we go to our room. The room is pretty dope, probably one of the nicest Hampton rooms I've been in, although the one near the Buffalo Airport that was designed for corporate presentations was pretty fun. This one has an en suite jacuzzi tub. Aw yiss. Yeah, we enjoyed it, and the fluffy comfy bed. And the free breakfast. Hamptons have great free breakfast, always with something hot. Canadian ones seem to favor sausages generally for their breakfasts, as well as little cheese omelets. My only complaint was not anything that was the fault of the hotel, but some jerk guests stole some of the chairs from one of the other tables so they could fit extra people at their table. Not cool! Anyway, this place is worth staying at. In those comfy beds.
