| - The first Uniqlo store in Toronto was highly anticipated, and it did not disappoint. Here, you can find a large selection of men's, women's, and children's clothing from the Japanese retailer. Most clothes are made for everyday wear, so, the style is casual (for the most part). They've got anything from outerwear (notably, their ultra light down line) to slippers. I bought jeans which are so far so good. I've heard great things about their Heattech line as well. Uniqlo also features some items from the Drake General Store at the back of the ground floor.
This store is large, the selection is good, and the employees are friendly. But, there are things that can be improved on at this location. My main concern is the fitting rooms. There's no illusion of privacy. The fitting rooms are located on a fairly busy corner of the store (near the cashiers). The doors of each room were quite high off the ground--outsiders could see at least a feet from the bottom of your door. Needless to say, it's incredibly awkward changing clothes in there. Also, the fitting room line was long, but it's all part of the grand opening rush, I suppose.
Overall, Uniqlo was great. But, I'm excited to see more offerings; hopefully, they'll be bringing all of their lines to Canada soon. Crossing my fingers for the graphic t-shirts!
