| - First impressions are everything! It is the time when you put your best foot forward and shine! Thankfully we have choices who we do business with and no one has to tolerate cheesy chumps like Brian and 2nd runner up math man! Cody M, you were great! I am really sorry they cost you a deal today! Camelback Toyota, sorry not sorry, your people (Brian and math man) suck at representing!! I had called in earlier this week and scheduled an appointment for today with Roxanne and a new car manager Brian. While on the phone prior to my visit I clearly expressed what I was looking for and what my maximum payment could be. I said I was open to any vehicle that would meet my budget but asked that they respectfully not waste my time if the payment amount was not realistic. When I arrived I met both Roxanne and Brian and again CLEARLY reiterated my needs stating my maximum payment, telling them what my top choices would be and that I was not stuck on a particular vehicle. They acknowledged what I said and had a very nice salesman, Cody show me a couple trucks. My payment was to be under a specific amount (stated twice on the phone and verified again in person before viewing anything). After being assured by Brian that he understood my needs, and driving the truck, Cody comes back with a payment of double what I expressed would work. Laughing, but not shocked, I let him know that I realize he was following the instruction of management but that it was insulting, unprofessional and disrespectful to present me with a payment that was twice what I said after so much clarification and multiple request to show me something realistic! After all, as Brian stated, this is what they do. All day, every day! They all knew that without question when they sent me out to see those tucks, there was no way in hell the payment would be under where I asked or....they were playing games to act as though they really did me a favor after hours of negotiating to bring it down!! I was pretty bothered they chose this route but they are the "experts" and assured me I should look and wasted valuable time that could have been spent showing me a realistic option or payment to begin with. I let Cody know that this was not directed at him but that the upper management had really dropped the ball. They sent another rude man back to "teach me math" and tell me "how it works there at Camelback Toyota". Now disinterested in doing business with this bunch of inattentive trolls, I simply asked for me keys back. Math man didn't blink an eye-typical-working hard at not working attitude. I will now go to another dealership and tell them, and everyone I can, what just occurred and make a deal with someone who respects the time and needs of their customers and wants to show me the many options that will fit within the requirements needed to make me buy. Like all people, I value good service and upstanding policies and practices and will not do business with a company like this. What if I needed to take my new vehicle back for warranty or other service and was met with the same disregard? Be smart people! If this was their best foot forward you should use yours and run hahahahahaha!!!! You have options!
