Service was good. The server can really sell and explain the menu items if you are new.
Now, the food.
Started with the bone marrow and a serving of oysters.
Oysters are the size of your thumbnail. It's the smallest I have ever seen and its ridiculous that we were paying what was essentially just shells. It had a Tabasco sauce that may as well be straight Tabasco.
The bone marrow was nothing to write home about. Growing up, my family made pho often and the marrow from the beef bones for the broth were more flavorful and plentiful. It's not worth it.
Entrees were lamb and chopped salad.
Lamb was supposed to be med rare but came out exceedingly rare. Like straight red throughout. Admittedly the portion size was good but you do pay quite a bit for it. It comes with a small side of plain arugula and softened peanuts or something. The accompanying sides were not too enjoyable. It's very rich overall. I think it could have came with rice or potatoes or something. My date couldn't finish it. Too rare.
The chopped salad was what I got and it was very good. The pictures posted made it look bigger than it was but it is a salad so it's okay. I enjoyed it and would come back for that. It's a reasonable price too.
So all that plus a glass of wine came to over $80. Yikes! Just don't get too adventurous with the starters like we did.
